UK Sport is acting on behalf of eventIMPACTS and its Partners as host of eventIMPACTS.com

The domain eventIMPACTS.com including any of their sub-domains ('the websites') has been designed and hosted by the United Kingdom Sports Council ('UK Sport') and its Partners (NWDA, LDA, VisitBritain, EventScotland, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, Yorkshire Forward). By using or accessing any part of the websites you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of the websites and continue to apply thereafter. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not access and/or use the websites.

Change of Terms

UK Sport may change these terms at any time by posting changes on the websites. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by UK Sport. Your continued use of the websites after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended.

Invalidity of terms

If any of the following terms and conditions is illegal, invalid or unenforceable this will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions.

Applicable Laws

The relationship between you and the UK Sport will be governed by English law. You agree to submit all disputes to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Website disclaimer

Whilst UK Sport will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on its websites are accurate and check and test its websites and material contained on them, websites and material relating to Government information, products and services (or third party information, products and services) are provided 'as is' without any representation or endorsement and without any warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

UK Sport cannot guarantee the functions contained in the material contained on its websites will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the websites or the servers that make them available are error or virus free or represent full functionality, accuracy, reliability of materials accuracy of the website and all information contained in them. Under no circumstances shall UK Sport be liable for any loss or damage, including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss or damage, whatsoever arising from the use or loss of data, profits arising out of or in connection with your use of the websites.

Visitors who rely on information on the sites do so at their own risk. Visitors should therefore run an anti-virus programme on all material downloaded from the internet. UK Sport does not accept any liability for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst your use of website and the material contained on its websites.

Content submitted for inclusion on the website

You are responsible for your use of the websites, for any material you post on the websites, and for any consequences thereof. The material you submit, post, or display may be able to be viewed by other users of the websites. You should only provide material that you are comfortable sharing with others under these terms and conditions.

Copyright and intellectual property

The copyright and all other intellectual property in the material on the websites are owned by UK Sport unless stated otherwise. The names, images and logos identifying eventIMPACTS are proprietary marks of UK Sport. Copying of our logos and/or any third party logos from the websites is not permitted without prior approval from the relevant owner.

You are permitted to copy any eventIMPACTS information for your own personal use. But you may not copy, republish, transmit, store, reproduce, communicate or otherwise make available to the public any of the information on the websites except for using documents and information published on our websites to send via email or other messaging service on the internet.

You retain your rights to any material you submit to UK Sport. By submitting material to UK Sport, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence (with the right to sub-licence) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute such material in any and all media or distribution methods (now known or later developed). You agree that this licence includes the right for UK Sport to make such material available to our Partners and subsidiary companies for the distribution or publication of such content on other media and services, subject to our terms and conditions for such use.

UK Sport respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the website to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law and are properly provided to us. We reserve the right to remove material alleged to be infringing without prior notice and at our sole discretion.

Linked websites

eventIMPACTS provides links to websites maintained by other organisations as part of its service, but is not responsible for their content, accuracy of their content or endorse any externally linked sites or the views expressed within them. Listing a website link shall not be taken as an endorsement of any kind. Neither can eventIMPACTS guarantee that these external links will always work.

Any personal information that you provide to UK Sport is subject to our Privacy Statement (www.eventimpacts.com/privacy) which governs our collection and use of information. You understand that through your use of these websites, you consent to the collection and use of this information in accordance with the terms set out in this statement.

If our privacy policy changes, the changes will be posted on the websites so that you will always know what information is gathered, how it is used and whether it will be disclosed to anyone.

Any Personal information that you provide to the websites will handled by UK Sport in line with, but not limited to, the Data Protection Act 1998, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 as amended from time to time. It will also be Your information will not be used for any other purpose and will not be disclosed to any other parties or transferred to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area.

We will take reasonable and appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is protected from unauthorised access or modification, unlawful destruction and improper use.

Use of IP addresses

We log IP addresses only for the purposes of system administration and to audit the use of our site. This is automatically recognised by the web server. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that while your user session will be logged, you will remain anonymous to us.

What is a cookie?

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive so that the website you have visited can remember who you are. Cookies keep track of your use of the website and provide you with visitor specific content.

We do not use cookies on our website to collect your information and we will not collect information about you except information about your computer IP address as stated above, which is required for the system administration of our web server, and, where applicable, any usernames that may have been assigned to you in order to access the or any part of the websites.
