• The Project

  

  The eventIMPACTS Toolkit is intended to provide organisers and supporters of public events with some key guidance and good practice principles for evaluating the economic, social, environmental and media-related impacts associated with their event.

  

• The Partners

  

  eventIMPACTS is the result of a collaboration between UK Sport, Visit Britain, EventScotland, the London Development Agency, the North West Development Agency, Yorkshire Forward and Glasgow City marketing Bureau.

  

• Resources

  

  The Toolkit has been developed following a review of existing methodologies and evaluations of six pilot events that took place in the summer of 2008. This research has generated a range of useful resources.

  

• Glossary

  

  Although every effort has been made to keep the Toolkit as straight-forward as possible, some parts of it are inevitably of a technical nature. To make it as user-friendly as possible, we have created a glossary of key terms.

  

• Feedback

  

  The Toolkit represents the partners' current thinking about the evaluation of events. But it is not meant to be the final word on the subject, and we welcome feedback both on its content and on others' experiences of evaluating events.
